Grace Kids Music

Sunday nights at Grace are buzzing for K-5th graders! Is music your thing? Then Klub 12 or Downbeat is for you! Want to hang out with great friends while learning how to grow closer to God before or after Klub 12 or Downbeat? Then check out all the great stuff happening in HangTime! Join us starting Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for one or more of these exciting programs: Kindergarten - fifth graders have the opportunity to join our exciting Grace Kids Music program. Kids will experience music education in a fun and relaxed environment every Sunday evening.

Klub 12 & Downbeat

Klub 12 is an exciting musical adventure where every Kindergarten through 2nd grader is welcome. No experience is necessary for Klub membership, just a voice and a smile! Klub 12 meets in the Music Suite each Sunday from 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.

Downbeat is an amazing musical adventure where every 3rd-5th grader is welcome. Each Sunday night offers an action-packed rehearsal filled with rhythms, rhymes, and rockin’ songs for your third, fourth, or fifth grader in the Music Suite each Sunday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

HangTime

HangTime will gather in the Multi-Purpose Room from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to have fun by sharing life-changing Bible stories, games, crafts and mission projects with K through 5th graders at Grace. There may be a small semester fee for each child for this program. Come join us for this opportunity to have your child re-energized by learning about Jesus’ love for them. If your child is registered for HangTime and Klub 12, we'll pick them up after Klub 12 and bring them to HangTime. If you register your child for HangTime and Downbeat, we'll make sure they get to Downbeat on time!

Nursery Ministries
(Birth – Age 2)

Nursery Ministries welcomes all children under the age of two by September 1st, 2010. We provide:

• A warm and loving childcare environment during our worship services at the 9:00 and 11:15 hour for children birth through pre-kindergarten.
• During our 10:15 education hour, Nursery Ministries will provide childcare for children who are younger than two-years-old as of September 1, 2010.

Please visit us at the welcome area in the glass hallway of the Richmond Building and we will be happy to meet your family, check your child into our computerized check-in system, and guide you to your child’s room.

Care provided year round, 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sunday School - 10:15 A.M.-11:00 A.M.

Preschool Ministries (Ages 2-Pre-Kindergarten)

Preschoolers will love our exciting Sunday morning program where they will laugh, sing, and learn about the amazing God who created them! We offer age appropriate classes for children ages 2 through Pre-Kindergarten (based on their birth date as of September 1, 2010).

• Preschoolers are invited to our warm and loving childcare environment during our worship services at the 9:00 and 11:15 hour.
• During our 10:15 education hour, we have age appropriate classes for preschool children. Our 3 and 4-year-old classes attend our TreeHouse show once a month, where they will enjoy singing, dancing, and learning with our Backyard friends. Our TreeHouse dates are September 26, October 31, November 21, December 12, January 30, February 27, March 27, April 17, and May 22.

Elementary Ministries (Kindergarten – Fifth Grade)

Kindergarten – Fourth Graders

These kids will gather during the education hour for fun, friends, and faith! Kids are invited to begin their time in age-appropriate small groups with incredible leaders and amazing friends to learn how to apply the virtue, memory verse, and Bible lesson to their lives. Small Groups begin at 10:15 a.m. and meet upstairs in the Learning Center.

At 10:35, everyone heads down to The Backyard for an amazing production where we study the monthly virtue and Bible lesson in an unforgettable way. We'll discover what our Backyard friends are up to each week as we explore the monthly virtue through praise & worship songs, interactive Bible teaching, and creative drama! Kids are dismissed from The Backyard at 11:05 a.m.

Fifth Graders

This unique age group will meet upstairs in the Learning Center. During the fall, they’ll join the rest of the elementary classes in The Backyard each week. For the spring semester, they’ll gather for some “hang out” time to talk with old friends and get to know some new ones. A gifted team of leaders will interactively present the Bible lessons to engage them in seeing God’s word in a new light. These kids will tackle tough issues facing “tweens” today and dig deep into biblical truths as they begin to make their faith their own and prepare for the middle school years.

myGrace

In 1999, Grace opened the doors to a new ministry serving children with special needs. As we watched these children mature into young Christians, myGrace was born. Youth and adults with special needs learn about God's redemptive work in Jesus Christ through music, sharing, Bible study and interactive time with mentors.

These mentor-leaders tell Bible stories through a variety of mediums with weekly music celebration. At this level, students learn about becoming active members of the church and learn more about what it means to love God and love others. Opportunities for service and social activities are part of this disciple formation class

myGrace meets once a month in MTH 208 from 10:15-11:00a.m. The fall myGrace dates are October 3, November 7, and December 5. On the other 3 Sundays each month, these students are mainstreamed in our Youth Ministries classes.

Grace Place, LC 103

Grace Place is a place where grace is shared between mentors and children with special needs during the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 worship hours. Mentors give one-on-one attention and instruction to these children of Grace.
