$47,000 raised to support Local and International Missions.
In December, Houstons’ Grace Presbyterian Church partnered with ministries that are proclaiming God’s love and power in incredible ways. As a part of an international movement to worship fully, spend less, give more and love all through an Advent Conspiracy, Grace collected a mission offering of $47,000 in support of Living Water, Freedom Firm and our ongoing efforts to love our neighbors at Paul Revere Middle School and Walnut Bend Elementary School.
Living Water Water is at the heart of a daily crisis faced by a billion of the world’s most vulnerable people—a crisis that threatens life and destroys livelihoods on a devastating scale. Nearly 90 percent of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene. Every year, there are 4 billion cases of diarrhea as a direct result of drinking contaminated water; this results in more than 2.2 million deaths each year—the equivalent of 20 jumbo jets crashing every day.

Freedom Firm Rescue, Restoration, and Justice. Freedom Firm seeks to eliminate child prostitution in India by rescuing minor girls, providing effective rehabilitation, and prosecuting the perpetrators of sex trafficking. Undercover operatives find minor girls. With assistance from Freedom Firm, the police raid brothels and rescue girls. Freedom Firm lawyers aggressively pursue convictions by assisting public prosecutors at each stage of the criminal trial. Rescued girls testify against their abusers, helping bring them to justice.
